I have a friend who is an absolute genius when it comes to present buying, always finding just the right item for each celebration, and she puts as much effort into how the gift looks on the outside. She uses beautiful, unusual, often handmade paper with a coordinating wrap or string and always a fabulous tag, or a sprig of something fragrant tucked in. It's a real joy to receive one of her creations and a far cry from my basic folds and visible sellotape affair.
I have recently launched four designs of sheet wrapping paper and I have noticed that a new trend is sweeping across social media - a kind of origami wrapping - which elevates gifts to a whole new level - the results are stunning.
I decided to give it a try myself at Christmas when I came across @effectivespaces on Instagram. I had to watch her reels a few times, but I was so pleased with the results, using our Meadow Creatures gift wrap.
There are lots of tutorials on Natasha's social media feed and her video's are easy to follow so I recommend a watch.
I'd love to see some of your creations - I am sure I will be trying some more of her beautiful designs.
